  • 18,000 DWT Bulk Carrier Project

    Jinye provided hub vortex fins, anti-vortex fins, and propeller boss cap trimming services for an 18,000 DWT bulk carrier to improve hydrodynamic performance, reduce fuel consumption, and enhance sailing efficiency. PSV consists of a duct and several pre-swirl vanes positioned ahead of propeller. The vanes sign as FIN 1~5. PSV can correct the flow into the propeller which essentially reduce the rotational losses in the propeller slipstream and increase the flow velocity towards the inner radius of the propeller.The expected reduction of PSV is the range of 3% to 8%.
  • 230,000 DWT Bulk Carrier Project

    For a 230,000 DWT bulk carrier, Jinye implemented hub vortex fins, anti-vortex fins, and propeller boss cap trimming modifications to improve vortex-induced resistance, improve propulsion efficiency, and achieve significant energy savings. HVAF is attached with small fins on the boss cap. The number of fins is same as that of the propeller blades. HVAF mainly recovers the energy loss of propeller hub vortex in propeller down stream. The geometry shape of HVAF is very simple, and HVAF can be installed behind the propeller easily as original boss cap, which rotates together with the propeller. HVAF can save fuel consumption by 2%~5% as operating at the same speed.
  • 230,000 DWT Bulk Carrier Retrofit

    Jinye delivered an integrated energy-saving solution for a 230,000 DWT bulk carrier by installing hub vortex fins, anti-vortex fins, and a rudder bulb, effectively reducing energy consumption and improving maneuverability.
